Community Wildfire Protection Program Implement Defensible Space on Public and Private Parcels and Utility Corridors
Undergrounding of all power lines in our small community will enhance fire safety, improve reliability of service, improve the scenic quality of the neighborhoods, and reduce insurance costs. Homeowners will contribute to a 501.c3 with the sole environmental purpose of putting these lines underground in our small community. As of the end of 2024, the project has reached 63% completion. Key progress includes connecting the Glenbrook utility spine to the substation and extending distribution/transmission lines to critical areas such as Back Road, Old Highway 50, Glenbrook Road, and beyond.
