Forest Restoration IV includes the Sand Harbor SNPLMA Round 11 HFR, Tunnel Creek SNPLMA Round 11 HFR, matching funds (Tahoe Bond) for the Slaughterhouse Round 11 HFR, matching funds (Tahoe Bond) for Tunnel Creek Round 9, North Canyon Road fuel break, Aspen restoration, Sand Harbor South, Ridgetop cable demo and Spooner LR. Treatment includes hand thinning, reducing down woody material, pile burning, underburning, chipping and biomass removal. To evaluate the state of wildlife populations in treated areas, seasonal survey and monitoring work is completed. These surveys are used to inform future forest restoration efforts, as well as evaluate the effects of past efforts.
