Aquatic Invasive Species Program Prevent, Control, or Eradicate Aquatic Invasive Species
Eurasian watermilfoil and curlyleaf pondweed were detected in Edgewood Creek and in ponds on Edgewood Golf Course during surveys conducted for the Aquatic Plant Monitoring Plan Project in 2018. Due to the extent of the infestation, a comprehensive survey of Edgewood Creek, ponds, and Friday Station reservoir is needed to develop an effective implementation control strategy for the infestations in the watershed. During the planning phase, plant fragment control is proposed to limit the spread of this infestation and prevent it from entering Lake Tahoe.
