Aquatic Invasive Species Program Prevent, Control, or Eradicate Aquatic Invasive Species
The Control Methods Test was approved by TRPA and Lahontan in January 2022, and implementation of the full test- ultraviolet light, aquatic herbicides and other non-herbicidal methods- began in May of 2022. In addition to the test treatment methods, extensive monitoring is being conducted to follow herbicide degradation, water quality conditions, and efficacy of treatment methods.
