Watershed Restoration Program Prevent, Control, or Eradicate Terrestrial Invasive Species
Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit has been manually treating and monitoring invasive plant infestations on National Forest Service lands. Unfortunately, some species have resisted these manual control efforts. Chemical treatment has shown to be effective. The LTBMU completed the NEPA to chemically treat invasive plants and has been implementing these control efforts since 2009.
