Watershed Restoration Program
Restore Priority Meadows, Wetlands, and Lake Tahoe Tributaries
This project moved Rosewood Creek from its alignment that drained directly into Third Creek just downstream of Hwy 28, back to its original alignment which flows into Third Creek just upstream of Lakeshore Blvd. More information on this project can be found in the Third and Incline Creek Watershed Assessment (http://www.ntcd.org/documents/library/3rdandInclineWatershedAssessment.pdf).
The new section of Rosewood Creek has natural processes that prevent erosion and filter out sediment and pollutants before entering Third Creek and the Lake. This project was completed in 2007.
