Watershed Restoration Program Restore Priority Meadows, Wetlands, and Lake Tahoe Tributaries
Eliminate up to 400 lineal feet of road, restore disturbed natural drainage patterns, restore wet meadows and wetlands, and reduce or eliminate flow entering a deeply incised gully that discharges to Ward Creek. The net effect would be the improvement of at least 0.915 acres of desiccated SEZ. Groundwater levels should rise throughout the project area which will reinvigorate SEZ vegetation outside of the improved areas and expand project benefits.
