Stormwater Management Program Reduce Stormwater Pollution From: Roads and Highways, Forest Roads, Public and Private Parcels
To complete basin maintenance and upgrades to two Douglas County maintained stormwater basins within the Tahoe basin. Both basins are located on property owned by the U.S. Forest Service with an easement provided to Douglas County to operate these basins. The basins proposed for maintenance are located at Donna Way and Scott Drive (APN 1319-18-301-001) and Kingsbury Grade and North Benjamin Drive (APN 1319-19-202-002). Due to sediment accumulation and vegetation growth the basins no longer hold their original design volume of stormwater. This project will remove the accumulated sediment and vegetation, restore original basin geometry, and construct a hard articulated block basin bottom.
