Stormwater Management Program Reduce Stormwater Pollution From: Roads and Highways, Forest Roads, Public and Private Parcels
The project addresses water quality and flooding issues in the Lower Bijou Park Creek area (Phase 1), which discharged runoff from roadways, commercial and residential area directly into the Ski Run Marina. The area is subject to historic flooding due to undersized and deteriorating infrastructure in this lower watershed area. The project includes restoration of SEZ and associated water quality improvements to reduce sediment and nutrients loads in urban runoff discharged to Lake Tahoe.

  • Acres of Environmentally Sensitive Land Acquired: 1 acres
  • Acres of SEZ Restored or Enhanced: 1 acres
  • Linear Feet of Stream Channel Restored or Enhanced: 475 lf
